#23: Dave Hollis: CEO Hollis Co.

kristi hayesComment

This was our very first podcast! We are re-airing our favorites this summer! Happy Announcement! We passed over 10,000 downloads a couple of weeks ago, that is so encouraging for a new podcast. SO THANK YOU!

Please keep writing reviews and subscribing wherever you listen to podcasts! It helps a ton!

Today I am talking with Dave Hollis, CEO of Hollis Co. He is just as down to earth as you may think he is. We had such fun talking about what it was like this year as his wife Rachel’s book Girl, Wash Your Face, was a topseller and what that felt like. He really shares his HEART, his heart behind all they do. His heart for his family and for a world that produces empathy.

We talk about what it looks like to have patient trust, their journey of adoption and fostering, and how that experience set them up for what they are doing now. We share our heart for helping our kids get out of their comfort zone so they can be exposed to other people’s stories, and show love and empathy for those who have a different experience.

We also discuss something he has never talked about which is the Hollis Co. Foundation and how they are giving back with their success.

3 ways they are showing up for different communities:

Veterans

Women

Children in Care (foster care)

Did you know that you can PRE-ORDER his new book NOW! And if you get it now, you get 30 minutes of the audio book for FREE, which he is reading!

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY: A skeptics guide to growth and fulfillment.

You are gonna love Dave, I was so nervous for this interview, but it definitely became one of my favorites!

Some of my favorite quotes!

15:10 “Anything we have done with a component of giving or philanthropy has always involved a component that has had our kids with us in that experience. “

15:50 “ For our kids to also expose them to people who had a different kind of experience in their life so they have and appreciation for the things that they have, but also some empathy for the things that other people have gone through….so they can show up for them as a friend or as an advocate or ally.”

You won’t want to miss this one.

We look to the future and see what is coming down the pipe for Hollis Co. and Rachel Hollis this year.
